The Health and Fitness Revolution

Sometimes to live healthy and take fitness seriously, people need a great role model to follow and be inspired by. What greater role models than heads of states? The website Health Fitness Revolution has put together a list of some of the fittest world leaders in 2015.



Here are five of the world’s fittest heads of state, in no particular order:

1. Barack Obama – President of the United States of America

President Obama is an avid basketball player and maintains a healthy diet, which he and his wife encourage on their daughters. On top of that, the President devotes four days a week to weight training and does other workouts daily.

2. Vladimir Putin- President of Russia

President Putin is a martial artists, experienced in the Russian Sambo style since the age of 14. Currently, Putin is a practitioner of judo and is a 6th dan black belt in Kyokushin Kaikan which is a form of full-contact karate. Putin also promotes health within Russia and encourages its citizens to get and stay healthy.

3. Felipe VI – King of Spain

King Felipe comes from a military background and has received training at various military academies across Spain. In 1992, he was a member of the Olympic Sailing team at the Barcelona Olympic Games.

4. Zoran Milanovic – Prime Minister of Croatia

Prime Minister Milanovic is trained in soccer, basketball and boxing. Along with his wife, he has been promoting health and fitness across Croatia.

5. Tayyip Erdogan – President of Turkey

President Erdogan is a former semi-pro soccer player and maintains a healthy lifestyle through jogging, calisthenics, and resistance training.
